I’m Forty Years Old
I’ve posted for everyone else’s birthday so far, so this is mine. I’ve got just a few minutes now, I got up and then very soon I go back upstairs to wake Logan for school and read her a page or two of the current Black Stallion book for her wake up time. John worked late last night so he’s taking the day off today to make the drive with us in honor of my birthday, and will get to do exciting things like come to physical therapy with me.
John did start baking a cake when he got up an hour ago, it’s in the oven now.
Logan lost another tooth this week, and is working hard on the third in three weeks. These are the “Lateral Incisors”, just to the side of the two center top and bottom ones. Today is school picture day, so she’ll have either two or three fine gaps to show off.
We had heavy fog for our drive in yesterday, enough to slow us down some, but then we sat for thirty or forty minutes behind a wreck on the freeway which slowed us down much more. Here’s a link. I need a freeway trouble email alert or cell phone alert service. Although if it had stayed closed we’d have been diverted and rerouted and continued on north anyway — we got to stay on the freeway, and saw one semi truck in the median looking a little skew. With luck it’s a less foggy drive today. We’ve also seen Elk in a pasture off the freeway twice this week.

Oh, wow. For some reason I know I will be 39 soon but did not realize you would be 40. It seems, however, that you are firmly in the “so what” camp. You have achieved so much and have so much to be thankful for that it little matters. Looking back on the first half (third?) of your life you can feel proud.
Cyber hugs! Xo Erin
