Sutherlin
We live ten miles south of Sutherlin Oregon. It’s in the news now because someone, aparently, came home to visit his parents, murdered one and tried to murder the other, set the house on fire, and then left and got on his commercial flight home again. Sheesh!
Logan’s in her last week of school before two weeks of spring break. Our lives got extra hectic for a bit when Jasmine’s mother for reasons unknown moved herself and Jasmine back to Massaschusits. We are mailing Jasmine boxes of her belongings, and just cleaned out the cabin this weekend with help from local friends.
We are surrounded by kids and lambs — and took eight adult goats to auction last week. With luck we’ll take even more sheep to auction this week. The Roseburg auction has not only closed down but had its site bulldozed. After John got there and found the lack of it, he reconnoitered, phoned me, and we changed our plans and took the truck and goats in to the Eugene auction instead. Our goats aren’t in the meat goat category, so bidding isn’t as good, but it makes me hope they’ll go to homes too. And we came home without a Donkey, which is also good. The Donkey was cute though.
