PS

I forgot yesterday.  At some point, Logan also doused her cat Mango with melaluca oil.  Twice at least.  For no reason she was willing to share with us.  Melaluca, a particular name brand of Tea Tree Oil, reeks.  It’s healing, and good for all sorts of things, but even a drop is a very strong smell.  Mango was wearing more than a drop.  People do consume it, although I’ve never figured out why they’d want to because the taste is more than I can manage, so it shouldn’t do any harm to the cat at all.  Beyond what it’s doing to all our noses.
We had Logan wipe the cat off with a damp cloth.  And dry the cat with another cloth.  Then we removed all melaleuca oil from the easy-to-reach part of the bathroom.  And told Logan she is not to be in the bathroom with the cats and the door closed at any time in the near future.

The only thing that saved Logan from being similarly doused herself is the stories I remember being told of having washed a littler of kittens when I was probably somewhat younger than Logan.  As I understand it the kittens all survived, and I wasn’t irreparably scratched.  I don’t know why I did it still — maybe they looked dirty.

Cat, now in my lap, hardly smells of melaluca at all this morning.
