I thought I was going to post pictures for all three of us, but the ones from my birthday have gone to China with the camera, so those will have to wait.  I did hear from John at about a quarter to four this morning — when he realized that he’d figured something backwards and it wasn’t nearly so late in the morning (or evening or whenever he was thinking) here, and said he’d call back later before he went to bed.  Then the cat got up, so I’ve been up anyway.

Logan wanted to be sure John wasn’t lonely in his birthday picture.  And while I still haven’t actually printed a copy to mail Wilma, yes, it was taken on his true birthday, although not at the correct time of day, since he was at work and Logan and I were in Eugene.

And that is Logan on her 8th birthday.  Now we’re nearly caught up in that respect.

Today we have an exciting day of laundry and general housekeeping planned, plus making a batch of cookies. I also plan to make some granola for my breakfast for the next couple weeks.   Yesterday we walked around Saturday Market for three or four hours, and found Logan a skirt that neither of us has seen every lots of other kids at school wearing.  It was the General Sale weekend at Saturday Market, so the skirt was $5 off, which was even nicer.  Logan got Afgani food for lunch and I ate some of hers plus a burrito, then when it cooled off later we both got hot cocoa.  The dad from Logan’s class who runs a food booth has both soy milk and cow milk options for hot cocoa, which works out very well for us.
